European Citizenship

European Citizenship has been the cornerstone of the training strand of the European Commission and Council of Europe partnership in the field of youth since 2001. Nowadays, European Citizenship still constitutes an important focus of the partnership training activities.

Importance of European Citizenship for both partner institutions

The topic of European Citizenship has gained a high political importance in the youth policies and programmes of both the Council of Europe and the European Commission over the past years.
