Teaser :
What is the situation of youth well-being in the region of Eastern Europe and Caucasus? How can we improve young people’s health, social inclusion and access to their social rights? And what is the role of the "evidence-based approach" and youth work in this process? These are the questions that lie at the heart of this Symposium.

News :

The upcoming Symposium on Well-being of Young People in Eastern Europe and Caucasus (EECA) is less than a week away! With a focus on the different aspect of well-being of young people, the Symposium aims to continue strengthening the ties between stakeholders in the field of youth policy of the EECA region. True to its tradition, the EU-CoE youth partnership will bring together policy-makers, researchers, youth workers and youth organisations both from the region and the rest of Europe.

The topics of the working groups will cover a wide range of themes connected to well-being: healthy lifestyles, substance abuse, access to social rights, sexual education, mental health, anxiety issues, self-inflicted violence, self-image, anti-discrimination and others. The panels comprised of main stakeholders will focus on discussing the knowledge approach to well-being and ways of addressing this cross-cutting issue by engaging various actors within the governmental and non-governmental sectors. As always, the Symposium will provide for a unique opportunity for regional stakeholders to meet and exchange experiences, as well as discuss with representatives of other European countries and the EU and Council of Europe.
