The upcoming Symposium on Well-being of Young People in Eastern Europe and Caucasus (EECA) is
less than a week away! With a focus on the different aspect of well-being of young people, the
Symposium aims to continue strengthening the ties between stakeholders in the field of youth policy
of the EECA region. True to its tradition, the EU-CoE youth partnership will bring together
policy-makers, researchers, youth workers and youth organisations both from the region and the rest
of Europe.
The topics of the working groups will cover a wide range of themes connected to well-being:
healthy lifestyles, substance abuse, access to social rights, sexual education, mental health,
anxiety issues, self-inflicted violence, self-image, anti-discrimination and others. The panels
comprised of main stakeholders will focus on discussing the knowledge approach to well-being and
ways of addressing this cross-cutting issue by engaging various actors within the governmental and
non-governmental sectors. As always, the Symposium will provide for a unique opportunity for
regional stakeholders to meet and exchange experiences, as well as discuss with representatives of
other European countries and the EU and Council of Europe.
