Call for Participants - Kick-Off Meeting of the Global Youth for Biodiversity Network (GYBN)

The conference will take place from August 21st to 27th in Berlin, Germany.

News :

The focus of the conference will lie on the establishment of the Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN) and the preparation of youth participation at 11th Conference of the Parties (COP 11) to the United Nation’s Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in October 2012.

The goals of the conference are to determine e.g. the structure, mandate and coordination etc. of GYBN and to develop plans and political targets for meaningful youth participation at COP11. The GYBN is an international network that intends to provide a global platform for exchange between youth organizations and individuals active on Biodiversity and also aims to coordinate youth participation in the negotiations under the Convention on Biological Diversity.
