New DJI Bulletin on European youth policy!

By eddy sanfilippo

Teaser :
DJI Bulletin is the quarterly of the German Youth Institute (DJI), an independent social science research institute based in Munich. The latest English edition on European Youth policy is now available in the EKCYP library. This number offers a wide range of articles about the life situations of young people in Europe: from future expectations in the fields of employment and social security to health, from migration and social integration to youth and family policies. A remarkable tool for researchers and stakeholders committed to youth policies all over Europe.

News :

The German Youth Institute was founded in 1963 as a non-profit association made up of members from institutions and associations specialising in youth services, politics and research. Its articles reflect the wide range of DJI activities: Practice-oriented research projects, such as scientific monitoring of "Opstapje " (an early assistance programme for children from socially disadvantaged families), examination of family skills and measures facilitating the transition from school to work, or analyses of the truancy phenomenon, offer information to politicians and field workers. This is complemented by theory-based articles discussing the increasingly blurred borderlines of gainful employment and their impact on families, or processes of self socialisation in early childhood.
