Aims / Objectives :
Involve groups of adults/elderly persons (from the age 50 upwards) and groups of young people in
intergenerational communication and a creative training process centered on the collection of
testimonies - Create intergenerational workshops to develop and test instruments of communication
and expression - Gather, select and analyse interviews and materials collected in different
countries (memories, stories, poems, etc.) and organise an electronic archive to be accessed via
Internet - Produce in-depth studies dealing with intergenerational communication and memory at the
European level - Produce a European centre of intergenerational communication - Produce a dedicated
website - Organise a campaign for the promulgation of results/products.
Short description :
The project aims at creating a model of cooperation and inter-regional and intergenerational
learning based on memory and communication, and at promoting innovative experiences within the area
of lifelong training. The material gathered will help university researchers to conduct in-depth
studies in the areas of intergenerational communication and memory, and the creation of a European
centre of intergenerational communication where reports, stories, memories of the elderly in Europe
will be found as well as studies and research into memory/communication in a context of transition
from an analogical civilization to a digital one.
