Few words about me: Robert Thomson provided technical and training assistance within the United Nations system for 17 years and previously was health promotion officer in an international non-governmental youth organization. He now focuses on public policy in regard to international health and on research training. In the academic setting Robert is a faculty member of the Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research, teaching in Switzerland and Laos.
In the NGO world, Robert is active in the International Federation of Powerchair Football, organising the global activities of this sports association for young people who use an electric wheelchair in their daily lives. His leisure time is divided between the Swiss Alps and the Lake Geneva area. His working languages are English and French, with passive German and Spanish.
