A few words about myself: Since I work as a senior research officer at the national board for youth affairs, my present main interest is youth policy issues with focus on influence opportunities for youth, marginalized groups and unemployment issues. The latest publication I was involved in is a national investigation on Youth Participation and Influence that took place in 2010 and that was delivered to the Swedish government in December 2010. The national investigation on Youth Participation and Influence is the largest and most comprehensive investigation on youth participation in Sweden since the 1990’s. I also work within the Theme Group Youth financed by the European Social Fund.
My research brings up the importance of participation in education and the surrounding society, in short: promotion of democratization in education.
My competence and experience mainly focus on youth policy, education policy development, analysis of education systems, democracy and human rights issues related to education and last but not least the transition from school to work.
