A few words about myself: Lihong Huang is a senior researcher at Youth Research Section of NOVA - Norwegian Social Research which is a social policy research institute under the auspices of the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research. She holds a M.A. degree in education from Southwest Teachers' University, China (1996), a M.Phil degree in comparative and international education from the University of Oslo, Norway (2002) and a Ph.D. in international education from Stockholm University, Sweden (2005). Her research at NOVA since August 2005 has been mainly on young people in education, young victims of violence and sexual abuse, and Youth in Action programme in Norway. She has been involved in designing and excuting a few youth surveys, sector studies and evaluation projects commissioned by, among others IFC (the World Bank) and NORAD (Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation). In all the research projects she has been involved in both in China, Sweden and Norway, she has successfully demonstrated her ability to plan, design, execute and report survey research and evaluation projects. She is skillful is using advanced statistical analysis techniques such as factor analysis and structural equation modelling (SPSS and LISREL). She is a guest lecturer of research methods teaching statistics and applied analysis at M.Phil programme of comparative and international education at University of Oslo since 2007.
