Intercultural dialogue
Intercultural dialogue is a feature and fundamental objective of all Euro-Medieterranean youth activities. Intercultural dialogue is also a cross-cutting theme for the Council of Europe and the European Commission and is meant to be an implicit part of all the Euro-Mediterranean activities, since intercultural dialogue is a matter of each and everyone one of us. In line with this approach, the EU-CoE youth partnership also organised two training courses on intercultural dialogue jointly with the Anna Lindh Foundation (focusing on human rights education and on conflict transformation), followed by a third course in 2009. The course have succeeded in creating a better understanding of intercultural dialogue and how it relates to Euro-Mediterranean youth work, and have resulted in several projects undertaken by participants and supported by the Euro-Med youth programme or the Anna Lindh Foundation.
