Welcome on the EU-CoE youth partnership website !
EU-CoE youth partnership activities at a glance
The Framework Partnership Agreement between the European Commission and the Council of Europe in the field of youth for the period 1 July 2010 – 31 December 2013 allows for a continuation of activities carried out in the last years, fostering co-ordination and synergies between the priorities and strategies of the two partners.
The overall priorities remain as follows:
-
1. Promoting knowledge-based youth policy
-
2. Supporting youth work and building capacity of youth workers
-
3. Paying special attention to a specific geographical focus in South-East Europe, Eastern Europe and Caucasus and the Southern Mediterranean and Africa.
In 2012 actions will be taken in the following areas:
Under the pillar promoting knowledge-based youth policy 2012 sees continuously a specific focus on the further development of the European Knowledge Centre for Youth Policy (EKCYP) and on the collection and provision of knowledge related to youth issues, through the organisation of a thematic seminar on reactions of young people to social exclusion. The Pool of European Youth Researchers provides a platform for consultation and an exchange on new developments in the field of youth research and youth policy on European and national levels.
Where support of youth work and capacity building of youth workers are concerned the strategy for a better recognition of youth work and non-formal learning is to be reinforced, the dissemination and valorisation of the results of the long-term training course for trainers (TALE) to be continued and a new training course on Participatory and knowledge based youth policy making to be developed.
Priority continues to be given to specific geographical co-operation with the Euro-Mediterranean, South-East Europe and Eastern European and Caucasus regions, as well as to the Euro-African youth co-operation implemented by the North-South Centre in Lisbon.
